This watercolour depicts a group of sheep gathered on a fell somewhere in northern England and Scotland. The sheep are naturally relaxed and seem to be grazing or resting on the grassy hillside. I used soft, muted shades of blue, green, and brown to evoke the serene atmosphere of the rural landscape. There is a sense calmness in the scene.
